Donnas Koi Art

Hello all, I  would like to introduce myself, my name is Donna I am a self taught artist with a passion for Koi carp. I own a large pond with about 20 large koi carp. From this passion I went from painting pets and wildlife to painting Koi, I wanted to mix my love of natural products by painting on wood. I do do canvas but the feel and look of wood is so beautiful and once it is varnished it looks so tactile you want to smooth it.

I do all my own sanding and sawing to prep the wood to my liking and treat the wood against damp, this is such a wonderful way to see the wood come to life.

I do all this from my own house and yard. Juggling this and life is something I really enjoy doing.
